Dear Jonathan,

I finally had the opportunity to read Health Without Boundaries and it really is a beautifully realized and designed piece. The greatest testimony to the writing came from my caregiver who read it from cover to cover and thought she understood what we did. And the pictures are really superb, getting in almost every conceivable aspect of the school.

In a word, it will be the only formal record of what we did in these 10 years, and you should be really proud about how that record has been presented to the university and the outside world.

Sincere thanks,

Barry Bloom, Dean

During The Takemi Program's 30th Anniversary Symposium we conducted 12 short interviews during one recording session. This video demonstrates the long-term benefits to public health leaders from around the world of this Harvard mid-career fellowship program.

This is one of six videos we produced to encourage attendance and participation by a worldwide audience.

Dean's Trip to Botswana
(Excerpt)

This video followed a group of key donors, the Dean, and senior faculty for an in-country look at the school's partnership with Botswana. Together, Botswana and Harvard sponsor the most advanced HIV/AIDS lab in Sub-Saharan Africa. In addition to events with the President and the Minister of Health, we traveled to rural hospitals and clinics.

This video was distributed as a menu-driven DVD. The primary audiences were prospective students and faculty.

This fund-raising video was produced at the same time as the menu-driven school profile DVD. It won the CINE Golden Eagle and WorldMediaFestival Silver awards and was included in major gift solicitations and on the Harvard web site. Featured are prominent faculty and students from around the world working on issues such as sex trafficking between Nepal and India and food safety in China.

Our World, Our Challenge

Produced for a special Department of Environmental Health celebration and subsequent distribution, this video was complemented by a second one featuring a roundtable discussion with previous department chairs. This piece sets the context for the Department's crucial and urgent work.
