"The Charles at Boston"
Located at the new Charles River Dam adjacent to the Charlestown Bridge in Downtown Boston.

The exhibits and media show introduce a unique solution to river flooding and the return to a healthier ecosystem - the combination of built and non-built solutions. Massive pumps in the dam "push" water into the harbor when water levels are high and wetlands upriver absorb flood waters for slow release downstream.

An installed 10-minute media show included rear-projected slides, sequenced light boxes, and a custom-designed electronic map - all synchronized to a stereo soundtrack with original music composed by John Kusiak and Rob Van.

As the Charles River project received The President’s Award for Design Excellence, the Corps requested a video version. This was a cuts-only 3/4” edit and our first video production.
